Welcome! Byenveni! ¡Bienvenidos! *insert "welcome" in the language you speak here* I'm so glad you decided to check out my new site. I have sooo many plans and resources I hope to put out to help you on your journey. Whether you're going to dental school, an undergraduate college, or simply need life advice, I hope this website will serve of great help to you. Now let me cut straight to the case.

Getting accepted into dental school was the hardest thing I've ever done. Don't get me wrong, I'm one of the most ambitious people you'd come across, but my dental school journey required a ton of grit, sacrifice, and support. However, being a first-generation student, I sometimes lacked the support and resources I needed. Since I'll be the first doctor in my family, my family members couldn't serve as a guide for my pre-professional journey. I had to figure it all out on my own.

If only I had one good resource that could provide me with all the information that goes beyond ADEA AADSAS (ADEA Associated American Dental Schools Application Service) applications... That's where My Tooth Be Told comes in. Here I'll guide you on everything you need to know when getting your first apartment, organizing your dental school supplies, and of course the typical necessities like advice on the DAT and AADSAS.

Out of all the dentists in America, only 3.8 percent are black and 5.9 percent are Hispanic. The population of Asian dentists has significantly increased over the years and is now a whopping 19.4 percent. Regardless, minorities make up under 30 percent of dentists in this country. I strongly believe that with the proper support and resources, that number can greatly increase! We are not less than our peers who may have parents or family members who are doctors and can walk them through each step. If you think you are alone in this journey because you have no one to turn to — you aren't anymore. After God, let me and My TBT be a place you can come to when you need a helping hand.

I am determined be a visual representation of the possibilities that can be for minorities. No matter how deep the pigmentation of my skin is, it didn't stop me from overcoming whatever obstacles came my way. And I never allowed it to impede on my success — I hope the same for you! When someone rejected me, I worked to make sure next time, they would. Even though the statistics may go against everything that we are, let nothing get in the way of your success. And always remember that as you advance in life, always turn back to help someone else to get to where you are.

If you made it this far, you're awesome! <3

Much love,

Becky :)
